First lady Melania Trump has been degraded and attacked by her husband’s political opponents, but despite that, she has remained a figure of class and grace.

Trump visited the Necker Hospital on July 13, speaking in French to six children patients, according to the Associated Press.
satis, a 14-year-old girl in a wheelchair told the first lady that she expected to leave the hospital soon to start rehabilitation.
“You look very good, very strong … Soon you’ll be walking and running,” Trump said, comforting the young teenager.
Ysatis was appreciative of the first lady’s visit, calling her “beautiful and gorgeous.”
It was very pleasant and really good,” Ysatis said.
The ward Trump visited was decorated in honor of “The Little Prince,” an iconic French novel, and the director of Paris’ public hospital system later presented the first lady with a copy of it.
“I will keep it, practice my French. It’s beautiful,” Trump said.
Afterwards, the first lady tweeted about the visit, praising the hospital, its staff and their patients.
“Thank U @hospital_necker for allowing me to visit your wonderful patients & inspirational staff. Continued prayers for good health for all,” she said.

This wasn’t the first time the first lady has made children a priority during her time in the White House.
In May, she visited sick children at two hospitals overseas — Queen Fabiola University Hospital in Belgium and Bambino Gesu Children’s Hospital in Rome, according to AOL.
Trump has also reached out to children while at home in the U.S., from reading with children at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll to meeting with students at various schools across the country to visiting our own children’s hospitals.
Being the president’s wife undoubtedly comes with stress and hardships that few people understand, but Melania has taken on that role in a way that we can all be proud of.
